So you're going for me first, huh? I guess I should take it as a compliment, since Ainrii is a big enough threat to merit attention. It'll be interesting to see how magic and divination will influence the war.

Yeah, I figured Sithari is only a threat if I enter his environment and I'm not leaving a bunch of magic users on my borders while I do that. You could always attempt to negotiate. =P

And what would I negotiate with? The goblins want to crush Ainrii, not get something out of its. If I can pull off a victory I might be in a strong enough a position to suggest a nonaggression treaty, but I doubt that's going to hold any longer than Sith'ari. What I really need is a few good races to come help crush the evil goblin horde. I hope Aspen finishes Survaek soon.

Meh, you could always offer Azag land, turf, and loot. Yeah, it sucks me being the old evil nation in the game. I wonder if nate and ryan will make their way over. I love how we got a new war off the ground in like two or three days of the forum reboot. lmfao.

We need to recruit.

Hey, Theo, is there any chance you'll finish the enchantment magic-tree before Kurgan's invasion? Divination is nice and all, but it's mostly intelligence gathering, and the ability to enhance my own troops and curse enemies is going to be vital in the upcoming fights.
Also, I'm curious about the role of spearmen. Mostly they've been presented as a hard counter for cavalry, but what about using them in heavy defensive formations? I'm imagining that a phalanx or pike square would be better than swordsmen in very specific circumstances (like stationary defensive formations).

They can be used defensively sure.

Aw crap. I can't recruit new soldiers during the war? That destroys the advantage from my Conscription trait, which was the only chance I was going to have to even the odds here.
Also, you have the Warrior and Skirmisher companies listed twice, and you have Kurgan's swordsmen listed as Veteran rather than Elite--Discipline.

You can recruit them. I need to change it so that I meant Kurgan cannot bring in new reinforcements.
Enchantment tree is finished, by the way.

Thanks, if I couldn't use Conscription I'd be screwed, what with Kurgan having an army three times the size of mine and all...
May I offer some constructive criticism for the Enchantment Tree? It seems to be overly focused on mind-control and influencing effects. It might be more balanced if it had more spells that did things like inspire heroism in allies, cause lethargy or weariness in enemies, enchanted items with special properties, etc.

Could you do like an add on Theo as to what i'm facing terrain wise on the border or just PM me some details? Ainrii mentioned a river a couple times. If there is a river, I need to know how deep the thing is, how far it runs, and are there any bridges / how many fording points? Is the current weak enough as to where I can swim my men across? Also, in my mod mark it states that some of my Goblin's are already on the Ainrii side, does this mean they have captured a bridgehead and have set up camps or no?

The Silvan Elves did send aid against Varinus, and while Ainrii did not send aid, they fought the Goblins in the Goblin War.
