Stone Dragon; Mouth of the Dragon
A monument had been built at the Mouth of the Dragon. One of the many entrances into the underground kingdom of Euphrasia, though the main one used, Mouth of the Dragon was the one used most by other races because it was easier seen because it was a huge part of the mountain. Inside the entrance, otherwise known as the mouth, a giant shrine with Thane Tarcisius’ likeness missing hand and all which stood on an equally large block of stone. Inscribed in the front of the block were languages of a great many races, in all of them they read, ‘Hero and Thane of Euphrasia, Slayer of Varinus’. A giant entering would find the dwarf statue of equal height due to the block the stone the chiseled dwarf stood upon though Tarcisius’ likeness was of far greater weight. The left and right sides of the block of stone portions were chiseled out to form small indentations where dwarves could offer small tokens of their appreciation that would help with the Dwarven Republic of Euphrasia’s cultural endeavors.
The Tarcisius’ Dragon Shrine, as it was being called, was the first completed shrine dedicated to the Thane of Euphrasia. Others throughout the Republic were nearing completion as well though they would stand for those lost in war and the Dwarven Republic of Euphrasia’s former glory. They would remind the dwarves of Euphrasia that although the light is burning bright and that the dark days are over the brighter the light burns the quicker it extinguishes itself. Most of the shrines ordered into construction were ordered by Thane Tarcisius; the one shrine not ordered by him into existence happens also to be the first to be completed.
Dark Roads; Rising of a Thane
Talia was everything a male dwarf could want in a female. Unlike human women dwarven women were just as stubborn as their male counterparts and equally self sufficient. Generally though like human women they tended to the household or family tasks Talia was different. Within the clans of dwarves who refused to live in the cities but built small towns and villages throughout the Dwarven Republic of Euphrasia she was a rising star among them. Thanes of the cities didn’t voice the needs of the Dark Roads, but Talia was causing other dwarves to finally take notice of the hardships.
The Warrior Regiments that manned the Dark Roads were practically at her beck and call. The dwarves of the Dark Roads supplied the majority of the dwarves that were part of the Warrior Regiments that manned the small towns, villages, and roads in between the three remaining cities. Soon if she would be made a Thane power derived from the dwarves within the Dark Roads or from the appointment by Tarcisius, Thane of Euphrasia.
Summary:
-Shrine dedicated to Tarcisius is completed in Mouth of the Dragon (Costs 8 EP; 12 * .2[Advanced Architecture] = 2.4; 12 - 2 = 10; 10 - 2[Hero's Industriousness] = 8 EP)
-Shows a new Thane is coming up to represent the Dwarves within the Dark Roads
