Kurgan War of Conquest
Moderation Mark 1
Moderation Mark 1
Although defeated in both the War of the Realm, and the smaller but no less vicious Goblin War, the Tribes of Kurgan remained a colossal military and political power in the region. To the north, the Silvan Elves of Sith'ari waged a defensive war against the Kurgan to defend against northern incursions, and the land of Ainrii to the south remained a hostile ground as Ioral diviners kept a constant eye on the naturally hostile goblins. For reasons unknown to the Ainrii, a huge host has gathered on the Ainrii border and begun what is now being called the Kurgan War of Conquest.
The Kurgan land and the Elven homeland was divided by a single river, streaming and strong, it could still be forded by the Goblin forces with minimal casualties. South of the river, huge plains dotted the landscape, marred only by Ainrii cities. Small scouting patrols had been sent forward, a few hadn't returned. The goblin campsites north of the river were full of activity, they were ready for war.
