Kingdoms and Locations of the Known World
Silvan Elves of Sith'ari (Elven Republic) -- Inhabiting a stretch of forest called the Sith'arian Wood that runs over 10,000 miles, the Silvan Elves are a small group that have outlasted the world from their forest abode. They protect the Sith'arian-Kurgan Border, and they have protected it since the War of the Realm. They have a very small economy and culture, but are renowned for their stealthy agents and competent rangers.
Tribes of Kurgan (Goblin Oligarchy) -- The first kingdom who attempted to stand against Varinus, the Goblin Tribes of Kurgan were the first to submit to him. They hail on the Eastern plains, though as of late the plains have started to look more and more like the Dead Lands. They are in constant competition with the Silvan Elves to the North and the Ainrii Elves to the South. When the War of the Realm ended they retreated back to their original lands and few kingdoms saw any Goblins outside the realm. They have a building economy but only a modest culture.
Al'Mamlaka Farsaan (Human Oligarchy) -- The Farsaan pirates are a loose conglomeration of pirate states off the Eastern Coast of the Eastern Continent. They are a nuisance to most kingdoms, raiding and pillaging their coastlands, but do not pose a major military thread to anyone in particular. United however, their fleet could pose a sizable threat to other kingdoms in the region. Their economy is very strong due to their implementation of slavery, but their people are careless and unrefined. During the Great War of the Realm, named the Witch War by the Farsaan, they sent corsairs to help against Varinus', but soon after continued their raiding tactics after the war was won.
Merenaz Caliphate (Human Republic) -- Referred to as the People of the Great Desert, or the Aremish, they are considered to be one of the oldest human kingdoms in existence. They are a highly militaristic society and possess one of the largest military's on the continent. The Caliphate was one of the premier kingdoms that stood against Varinus' and many Aremians died in the final battle. They have a small but flourishing culture and a reasonably successful economy, but their kingdom is plagued by internal strife of people as others seek to take control of the Sultanate themselves.
Dead Lands (Location) -- Located on the once prosperous plains of the Eastern Continent, the Dead Lands are home to the ancient Tower of Nùhr, the citadel of the ancient magister Varinus. The Dead Lands are a putrid wasteland where plants don't grow and vile creatures roam. At it's center, the huge tower stands, decrept and seemingly empty. It is from the Dead Lands that Varinus' hordes first came, washing over the nearby kingdoms with reckless abandon and starting the Wars of the Realm. These lands are without mercy, dominated by a howling wind and an eternal smog. Ghouls and ghasts roam the land, remnants of the battles of old. It is said that more than just wrights stalk the barrens however, and surviving treasure hunters have come back screaming of unspeakable terrors that befell their crews.
