Outskirts of Sith'ari Woods,
A few miles west of Ellenwood
The journey took at least an entire week if there were no obstacle, unfortunately that isn't the case. On their trip here, Lady Iraa's entourage were beset by horrid creatures of the dead land. She had heard rumors before going on this trip about the undead monstrosities have been restless in the dead land, up until now she simply dismisses them as just rumors meant to frightens travelers and she was definitely wrong. Thankfully she's escorted by her capable captain of the guards, Azim.
However, their survival came at a cost, she and the rest of her entourage was forced to leave one of her loyal bodyguards to the mercy of those unholy creatures, the loyal guardsmen is now in the hands of the Lord Creator, she thought to herself as she together with a couple of her handmaiden rode comfortably in her carriage escorted by two dozens of the palace guards.
From beyond the small curtains that covers the window of her carriage, Lady Iraa could see Captain Azim approaching her carriage. The good captain is a young man in his late twenties and despite his good looks and talented skills, bore a deep scar in his emotion as everyone could easily guess from his cold demeanor. His brown eyes scanning the area before turning his attention to the window and then addressing the lady. "M'lady, we're approaching the woods belonging to the Elves of Sith'ari", he then gestured for the rest of the entourage to stop and the party of 30 people stops immediately including her carriage.
"The rangers of Sith'ari should be able to pick up on us as soon as we entered the woods, but once we do, we'll be at the mercy of them since we'll be at a disadvantage, so should I send a messenger into their territory and asks someone in authority to greet us here instead?". The Captain's suggestion was sound, as it is obvious enough the elves probably won't take kindly to trespassers and unannounced visitors, but she's on a diplomatic mission for her own nation and she believed that she should be the one to show them the caliphate's trusts in their former allies as well as hospitality.
"No, we shall approach the forest nonetheless, but we will leave our horses and carriage here, leave a couple of men to guards our belongings...", and with that the wooden door of the carriage slides open and Lady Iraa climbs down from the carriage together with a few of her handmaidens, "we'll approach on foot so as to avoid needlessly trampling on their forest, and make sure to hoist the flag of the caliphate so that the rangers know who we are"
Captain Azim wasn't sure that was the wisest of idea military wise but diplomacy and politics is beyond his comprehension and is more of Lady Iraa's expertise so he obeys her. The soldiers that rode alongside the carriage jumps off their horses and began to set up camps at the outskirt of the forest. Leaving off a couple of men to guard the camp, Lady Iraa then enters the forest together with Captain Azim and the rest of her entourage.
